No, I haven't given up building model airplanes and gone into making skis. These are the fuselage side panels. The fuselage is over 70" long, but the longest board you can get is 48". I spliced 48" and 36" lengths of 1/4" x 4" boards using what I think is called a carpenter's joint. Thanks go to my friends on RC Universe for the advice in this regard.
