Unlike the rudders, I did not pre-shape the leading or trailing edges of the fins. There was no easy to way lay out the ribs, so I built the frames first. Leaving all of the edges the same width (except the very bottom piece ) allowed me to build flat frames. After adding most of the ribs, I carved and sanded the frames to shape. The final ribs on the bottom of each fin get integrated with the spars of the horizontal stabilizer, so they have not yet been added.

You can't sheet both sides of the fins before integrating them with the horizontal stabilizer. You need to add that last rib and complete the control hookups. I did sheet the inside surfaces, though, as it would a little difficult to do after they're glued to the stabilizer. I decided to stick with the plans regarding control linkages. There will be a single rudder servo located forward in the fuselage rather than individual servos in each fin. I did this for a number of reasons, one being cost, another being weight. This plane will be very heavy in the tail, so the less weight there, the better.
